Hello everyone this is Rawshan Jahan Limia from OSL-06 batch!
Today I would like to discuss our Department of Organization Strategy and Leadership (OSL)
🔴Why major in OSL?
A very common question about this department is, "Why should we select this even after having all those majors of BBA?". The answer is as simple as you would have thought. "In today's world, the whole business sector becomes stuck without a Smart leader. And, this department mainly focuses on this very exact point"

Let's know about OSL and it's career:
The mission of the department is " Be a thought leader in the creation and dissemination of knowledge and expertise on strategy and leadership, to foster organizational sustainability and growth"
The vision is " Be a center of Excellence for education, research, and advocacy on Strategy, Leadership, Entrepreneurship Development, and Change Management in Asia"
Besides regular 5 courses each semester, the department also focuses on EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT. That is, as a non-credit subject, you will have a very amazing opportunity of learning a second language and PUBLIC SPEAKING.
Not only this, but even this department also encourages students to gain practical knowledge even besides gaining theoretical knowledge by attending various seminars, workshops, etc.
Now, the world is becoming very competitive. Here, knowing how to talk effectively is very important to explore ideas or opportunities.
Not to avoid but the teachers here are very helpful and student friendly. Because of the varying number of students, teachers can easily take care of them.
This department also gives enough attention to various events. Students here enjoy every cultural event gaily.
🔴Why should you choose OSL as your major?
✔️Opportunities: Though the department just started its journey, still this is doing very well with its performance.
✔️Future of OSL: With no controversy, shortly, leadership abilities will be the top demand.
✔️Diversity: If you want to do something innovative and creative, OSL is for you.
There is a misconception that " As because of being a new department, there is no academic pressure here". But this is not true. You will be provided with enough Presentations, Assignments, Homework, Term papers, etc which will primarily make you feel unnecessary but are important for your professional life. But, this is not also impossible to get the highest CGPA here if you do follow the regular curriculum.

🔴Some more additional information:
1. Student Composition for the BBA Program: A total of 55 students of which 35 students from business, 15 students from science, and 5 students from liberal arts
2. The major focus areas of OSL’s academic programs include:
Strategic Management
Organizational Leadership
Innovation
Entrepreneurship Development
Change Management
Negotiation
3. Also, we are taught Statistical Software, SPSS, as a non-credit course.
